The domestic commercial operations of manned balloons that hold or are required to hold a Balloon Operator Certificate (BOC) under General Authority of Civil Aviation Regulation (GACA) Part 115;

1. Send an official letter to EVP with a Pre-application statement of intent (PASI) Form.

2. The concerned department will contact the applicant and complete the procedures.

  1. BALL01- Proof of Saudi Arabian registered balloon and carries a valid airworthiness certificate issued under GACAR Part 21.
  2. BALL02-Proof airworthy condition and meets the applicable airworthiness requirements, including those relating to identification and equipment.
  3. BALL03-Proof of an approved mass and balance control system based on average, assumed, or estimated mass to comply with applicable airworthiness requirements and operating limitations.
  4. BALL04-Operating instructions of Flight Manual
  1. Application : The applicant must submit all relevant documents as requested by the General Authority of Civil Aviation.
  2. Review : GACA will review the documents submitted by the applicant and verify if it complies with the regulations and can ask the applicant to update his application.
  3. Issue : GACA will only issue the Certificate/Permit when the E-Service process allows it and GACA is completely satisfied that all regulatory requirements have been adequately addressed.
  4. Delivery : The Certificate/Permit will either be delivered electronically or manually according to the E-Service process.
