Ground Services

This is the service to change an accepted Post Holder

Ground service provider must hold a valid and current economic license issued by the economic department of the General Authority of Civil Aviation.

  1. GRDSP01- Official letter together with name, CV and credentials of the nominated Postholder or Safety Manager.

  1. Application : The applicant must submit all relevant documents as requested by the General Authority of Civil Aviation.
  2. Review : GACA will review the documents submitted by the applicant and verify if it complies with the regulations and can ask the applicant to update his application.
  3. Issue : GACA will only issue the Certificate/Permit when the E-Service process allows it and GACA is completely satisfied that all regulatory requirements have been adequately addressed.
  4. Delivery : The Certificate/Permit will either be delivered electronically or manually according to the E-Service process.

With effect from 1st March 2016, ground service providers offering any of the following services within the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia must be certificated:

·         Passenger handling
·         Baggage handling
·         Freight and mail handling
·         Load control and aircraft dispatch
·         Unit load device control
·         Aircraft servicing
·         Into plane fuel services
·         Representation and supervision
·         Surface transport
·         Inflight catering services.
