Aircraft Registration


Description
This service allows the beneficiaries to apply for an aircraft registration and obtain an aircraft certificate of registration.

Audience
• Saudi citizen.
• Saudi company or entity organized and doing business under the laws of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
• An entity not a citizen of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia when the entity is organized and doing business under the laws of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
• An entity not a citizen of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia when the entity is entered into a dry lease agreement with a KSA operator or entity doing business under the laws of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

Pre-Requisites
Pre-Requisites
• The pre-application phase is an opportunity for an applicant to study and seek clarity on the aircraft registration requirements. 
• A standard information package should be included:
• Requirements to register an aircraft.
• Application form and list of documents, which need to be submitted to support the application; and
• Procedures and approximate processing time so that the applicant can avoid a situation when an aircraft is left without registration. 
• The applicant will need to know and comply with aircraft registration, deregistration, and airworthiness requirements of both States, the exporting and importing States.

Once it is determined that the application form and all required documents comply with applicable Saudi Civil Aviation Law GACAR 45, 47, the Aircraft Registration Office will issue the certificate of registration to the applicant, assign nationality and registration marks to the aircraft, and update the aircraft register and Subsequent to the issuance of a certificate of registration, GACA will be responsible for that aircraft.

  1. A copy of GACA invoice and official receipt as proof of payment.
  2. A copy of the lease or purchase agreement and Authorization letter if the aircraft leased.
  3. A transmittal letter from aircraft owner/operator or representative.
  4. Other documents (e.g., power of attorney, Commercial Registration Certification, National ID).
  5. proof of deregistration or non-registration of aircraft.
  6. proof of either export of C of A or statement of conformity and compliance.
  7. proof of eligibility to register, if applicable.
  8. proof of evidence of ownership.
  9. provide a picture of the data plate.

How to use GACA EServices :

  1. Application: The applicant must submit all relevant documents as requested by the General Authority of Civil Aviation.

  2. Review: GACA will review the documents submitted by the applicant and verify if it complies with the regulations and can ask the applicant to update his application.

  3. Issue: GACA will only issue the Certificate/Permit when the E-Service process allows it and GACA is completely satisfied that all regulatory requirements have been adequately addressed.

  4. Delivery: The Certificate/Permit will either be delivered electronically or manually according to the E-Service process.
